The women of Afghanistan are facing unprecedented restrictions under the Taliban. Girls are banned from attending school after the age of 12, universities remain closed to women, women’s access to jobs is heavily restricted, and their freedom of movement outside the home is severely limited. Most recently, the Taliban cut off fibre-optic internet across the country, depriving millions of access to vital information, education, online work, and communication. These actions not only isolate Afghanistani women from opportunities to learn and work but also silence their voices in society. By signing this pledge, you stand in solidarity with Afghanistani women, support their right to education, connection, and freedom, and help amplify their voices internationally.

I pledge to stand in solidarity with the women of Afghanistan. I will raise my voice against the Taliban’s restrictions on education, work, movement, and internet access, and support Afghanistani women in their fight for rights and freedom.

By signing this pledge, I commit to amplify their voices and advocate for justice, education, and connection for women of Afghanistan.
