I have encountered different experiences throughout my life. Some of these experiences were pleasant and according to my wishes, but some of them were unpleasant and against my wishes. For me personally, learning English was the beginning of a new and valuable experience. I have learned many things that are useful not only for education but also for other important aspects of life such as patience and endurance, understanding different people, and responsibility. I want to talk about these three points:

First, as research has shown, we humans are so capable and have much more ability than we imagine to absorb and understand complex things. For example, when I started learning English, it was not easy and simple for me, but something that encouraged and motivated me to learn it was passion and determination from the heart. I definitely faced many difficulties, I became disappointed, I didn’t understand some topics, but I chose patience as the most important principle. When I continued my path with patience and endurance, I gained many opportunities and chances that made my future. All those challenges were valuable and effective.

Second, I have developed cognitively as well. Knowing my mentor and classmates helped me to develop my communication skills beside other skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I learned from their experiences and knowledge that caused me to become more familiar with my surroundings, and grow more hopeful about life.

In my opinion, the more people learn the more they feel their weaknesses and deficiencies. I felt the same way because I thought I still didn’t have enough ability.

However, this feeling has encouraged me to accept the responsibility that I have. I realized that I have duties and responsibilities toward my future, my family, my people, my society, and my country; I must work hard to do them in the best possible way. By understanding these responsibilities, I also understand the importance of time.

In summary, my journey of learning English has been a deep and good experience that not only enhanced my academic skills but also helped me grow emotionally, mentally, and socially. Through endurance and patience, I overcame many challenges and discovered new opportunities. I developed valuable life skills, became more aware of my responsibilities, and realized the value of time and hard work. This experience taught me that every challenge is a lesson. If we decide, we can turn difficulties into strengths.
