Before learning English, my life lacked direction and motivation. I was a girl who had lost hope and no longer had a purpose to live. The harsh conditions of my country had placed heavy emotional and psychological pressure on me. I felt lost in darkness, overwhelmed by the fear of falling behind in education and seeing my dreams fade away. Life became difficult, and at one point, I lost interest in living altogether. However, amidst all the pain and despair, joining an English language class became a turning point. It gave me hope to continue, inspired me to learn new skills, and helped me rediscover my true self.
At the beginning of my journey to learn English, I faced many challenges—lack of financial support, insecurity especially for girls, and countless fears. My English class became the only place where I could feel peace and forget about all my problems. When I entered the classroom, I saw smiling girls working together, and their positive energy gave me motivation. I promised myself again and again not to give up. I worked hard to be the top student in the class, and this sense of competition and dedication had a powerful impact on my life. At the end of each semester, when grades were announced, I felt proud of myself knowing that my hard work paid off. I learned many new things from my hardworking teachers and talented classmates, and I shared unforgettable moments with them.
Secondly, one of the most encouraging things for me was meeting my mentor. A person from a different culture, with different habits and ways of thinking, who supported me not only in improving my English skills but also in learning valuable life lessons. He became a role model for me. Having the opportunity to connect with someone from another country was truly exciting and inspiring. He treated me not as a student, but as a friend. I learned many new things from him—his experiences, ideas, and advice helped me grow. He was one of the most influential people in my journey toward progress.
In the end, attending English classes became a reason for me to chase my dreams, learn new skills, and discover my true self. Despite facing many challenges along the way, I gained valuable lessons from both the good and bad days. Every moment of this journey taught me something meaningful. This path became a way for me to grow stronger and stay grounded in the face of difficulties.
