On October 29 and 30, 2022, the Women’s Solidarity Association for Women organized the first face-to-face family planning workshop for Afghan immigrant and refugee women living in Rome with financial and technical assistance. UNHCR, Intersos and PartecipAzione
This program was held for women for two days and every day from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Before the start of the training program on family planning methods, a questionnaire was filled to obtain the level of knowledge and information of the participants and it was completed again after the training. Participants were able to ask other questions related to the topic during this time. At the end of the program, educational umbrellas and pamphlets related to the program were provided to them. At the end, an educational pamphlet on the address of the family planning program centers was written for immigrants and refugees and was given to them.
The presenters of the women’s training program were Nisa Mohammadi, a member of the leadership board of the association, and Siddiqa Mushtaq, the head of the Women’s Solidarity Association for Women.
